For many years, if you wanted to play Sunshine you needed to find a copy of the original GameCube disc. On top of that, you also needed either a working GameCube or the original Nintendo Wii. Thankfully, that is no longer the case. Super Mario Sunshine is now available on the Nintendo Switch as part of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection. A few years ago, I sent my original GameCube copy of Sunshine to a fellow gamer. So, for this review I played the Switch version. New super mario bros gamecube This is where Sunshine excels over other entries in the series. Though the moment-to-moment gameplay may not be as finely tuned or as inventive as other Mario games, it's difficult not to be entranced by Isle Delfino's summery charm. Each time I revisit the title, I can almost feel the seaspray and sun on my face as Mario dashes down a sandy beach or dives headfirst into those crystalline waves. Where other Mario games are hyperactive sprints, Sunshine encourages you to slow down and revel in the scenery.Dinosaur in mario games

Splatoon™ 2: Octo Expansion** Burning Rangers, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and NiGHTS Into Dreams all belong in the video game pantheon, while the Saturn also boasts games that proudly flew the 2D flag like Magic Knight Rayearth, Guardian Heroes, and Dragon Force. The Saturn has no shortage of fantastic games — if you have the pockets deep enough to pick them up physically, that is — but the lack of a “proper” Sonic game certainly hurt its appeal.

In terms of gameplay, think of this game as an upgraded Mario 64! There are numerous large open-world levels, all with a tropical theme. Mario can run and jump in full 3D, and fight with tons of different enemies (both old and new)! The goal of the game is to collect “Shines” (aka “stars” from Mario 64) so that more stages can be unlocked. Gameplay thus focuses on completing tasks, beating bosses, and collecting blue coins in order to collect more Shines!
